लॉर्ड बायरन यांची  ही कविता एका स्त्रीच्या नाजूक, मोहक आणि गूढ सौंदर्याचे वर्णन करते. कवी तिच्या सौंदर्याची तुलना चांदण्यांनीनी भरलेल्या शांत रात्रीशी करतो. तिच्या व्यक्तिमत्त्वात दिवसाचा तेजस्वी प्रकाश आणि रात्रीची शांतता यांचे सुंदर मिश्रण आहे. तिच्या डोळ्यांत आणि चेहऱ्यावर दिसणारा सौम्य प्रकाश तिच्या शुद्ध अंतःकरणाचे आणि दयाळूपणाचे प्रतिबिंब आहे. कवीचे म्हणणे आहे  की खरे सौंदर्य केवळ बाह्य रूपात नसते, तर मनाच्या निर्मळतेतही असते.  कवीने पाहिलेली स्त्री केवळ तिच्या बाह्यरूपामुळे नव्हे, तर तिच्या शुद्ध मनामुळे आणि चांगुलपणामुळे सुंदर आणि मोहक दिसते.

• According to the poet, ‘One shade the more, one ray the less’ in her personality would have spoiled her beauty. such is the perfection of the lady.

• The poet talks about inner beauty too. According to the poet, her smile is ‘how pure, how dear’, ‘so soft, so calm, yet eloquent’ (आकर्षक). The reason for such a smile is the reflection of her inner thoughts.

• Another reason for her divine beauty (दैवी सौंदर्य) lies in the fact that the days she had spent in goodness. Her happy past brings the ‘mind at peace’.

• Inner beauty and a peaceful mind intensify her beauty.

Byron presents night as something soft and radiant(तेजास्वी), filled with stars. The contrast between light and dark symbolizes harmony and balance (मिलाफ आणि संतुलन).

The poem also uses gentle words such as “tender,” “soft,” and “calm” to reinforce (बळकटी देणे) the woman’s elegance and purity. Her smile and the glow of her face are not just signs of physical attractiveness but reflect “a mind at peace with all below.” This suggests that true beauty comes from inner goodness.

Structure of the poem:
